XA privacy
XA collects nothing. It has no account, no server, no analytics and no ads.
Pictures and videos
XA saves what you shoot to your Photos library. With full Photos access it also files each one in an XA album, and the roll reads that album to show you your pictures. It doesn't upload anything.
Camera and microphone
XA uses the camera while it's open, or while its Lock Screen camera is open, to show the viewfinder and take pictures.
The microphone is for the sound on VIDEO clips. XA asks for it the first time you open VIDEO. It listens only while VIDEO is on screen, and iOS shows its microphone indicator then. The sound is kept only while you record a clip, and it is saved inside that clip. The other modes don't use the microphone. If you say no, videos record without sound.
QR codes
XA reads QR codes on your iPhone. Tapping one opens its link in the matching app on your iPhone (Safari, Mail, Phone, Maps and so on), or copies plain text. XA doesn't keep a list of the codes it reads.
How long things are kept
XA stores nothing off your iPhone, so there is nothing for anyone to keep or delete on our side. Your pictures and videos live in your Photos library, and you can delete them there at any time. XA's settings and your own sims stay on your iPhone until you delete the app.
Your choices
You can turn Camera, Microphone or Photos off for XA at any time in Settings › XA, or in Settings › Privacy & Security. That withdraws your consent for that one. To withdraw all of it, delete XA: its settings go with it, and your pictures stay in Photos until you delete them there.
